Senior Construction Manager

Manage complete construction operations for multi-million dollar projects. Monitor daily activities and supervise construction engineers and contractors to ensure ongoing quality assurance standards and project expectations are maintained. Prepare contract change orders and negotiation construction costs to support budget requirements. Coordinate with city, county, state, and railroad staff regarding implementation of codes. Review submittals and approve materials testing results, survey requests, and construction surveys. Produce final reports and project records and perform final inspections and approval. Collaborate with company engineers to prepare and introduce multiple construction management projects proposals to secure long-term revenues. Ranchero Rd. (new) Interchange including new bridge, extensive frontage roads for the City of Hesperia: Directed multi- source funded $31 million project to construct new interchange, frontage road and all related improvements.

Lewis Road (Route 34) Widening and Overhead Bridge Replacement, Ventura County: Managed $12 million oversight project as Resident Engineer, which included widening existing state highway for approximately 1 mile.

Camino Del Remedio Storm Repair, Santa Barbara County: Directed federally-funded project to reconstruction existing roadway and embankment along creek washed out by winter storms. Highlights included constructing 2 soldier pile walls, installing new drainage system, and placement of RSP at toe of slope to stabilize creek embankment and SWPPP implementation.

Rose Avenue/101 Interchange, City of Oxnard: Initiated $12.2 million project involving modification of ramps, demolition of existing bridge, and construction of partial cloverleaf interchange on Route 101. 

Flynn Road Northbound On and Off Ramps, City of Camarillo: Supervised $7.4 million, 12-month initiative as Resident Engineer to construction new on and off ramps, realign Mission Oaks Boulevard frontage road and auxiliary lanes on Route 101, and replace existing 2-lane concrete, cast-in-place post tensioned box girder bridge.

Storke Road Bridge Replacement, Caltrans District 5, Goleta, California: Managed $7 million construction of 3 bridge structures and a 24-foot x 8-foot x 489-foot RCB culvert in highly environmentally sensitive channel. 

 

PARSON BRINCKERHOFF, Sacramento, California • 1996-2004

Resident Engineer/Project Manager 

Directed on-going design and construction management of sewer and water-related initiatives in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. Led inspection of sewage treatment pumping facilities, treatment plants, and mechanical facilities as needed to support project execution and ensure quality standards were implemented. Led contract formation team to organize and conduct reviews, compile specifications, and prepare construction schedules. 

Major Contributions:

Johnson Drive Railroad Grade Separation, Ventura, California: Managed $7.2 million project involving construction of 2-span heavy rail structure and including construction of 1,000 feet of 50-feet x 6-feet RCB, traffic maintenance, realignment of southbound US 101 ramps, and relocation of extensive utilities and underground fiber-optic cables.

 Monterey County Seismic Retrofit, Monterey County, California: Led efforts to seismic retrofit 6 bridges in south Monterey County for County Public Works Department. Project involved bridge removal, construction of type 25- barrier, and multiple types of foundations.

Templeton High School: Directed design and full inspection of water transmission line and pumping facilities to ensure quality control procedures were executed.

Residential Development Projects, Santa Barbara County: Prepared geotechnical reports and tentative and final tract maps. Performed boundary and construction surveys, and introduced design for grading, drainage, water/sewer lines, sewer lift stations, curb, gutter, and sidewalk, and drainage structures for multiple single-family dwellings.
